The mission of Children's Ministry

is to work together with parents to carry out the mandate of Scripture to "train up a child." Proverbs 22:6

We at Grace Fellowship Church desire to see our children experience a loving relationship with the one true God. We desire to help them grow in His grace through His Word and His Spirit, and to see them experience the joy of glorifying God through worship, obedience, and love. Your child is of the utmost importance to us. We believe children are a gift from God and they are greatly loved and valued by each member of the children's ministry team. We take all necessary means to ensure that children feel welcome in class; that we provide them with a safe and secure environment where they may play and learn; that teaching is biblically sound; and that volunteers are properly checked and monitored.

EVENTS and PROGRAMS

Awana = "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed"

We work with parents to develop spiritually strong children through the Awana program, which teaches boys and girls the gospel of Christ and trains them to serve Him.

Awana meets every Wednesday at 6:25pm during the school year. 
Registration night is August 6, 2025.

Grab your tots and join us for a play date! We’ll have toys out in the gym for the kids to play with while the moms visit.  Bring your own snacks.

Each December our children and youth are invited to participate in our Christmas musical.  Rehearsals take place Sunday afternoons starting in September and continuing through December.

The Dance Ministry’s goal is to provide high quality dance training and technique while imparting a Biblical understanding of the human body’s capacity for movement in worship and prayer. Discipleship, devotional time, and prayer are an integrated part of the program. Students will learn the mental discipline and concentration of dance while exploring the joy of movement in an encouraging environment.

Illumination Station!

Jesus spoke to them again: “I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life.” John 8:12 

Classes are available for children age 5 by August 31 entering Kindergarten through Sixth Grade.

The preteen ministry is for fourth, fifth and sixth grade students.  We recognize that these kids are at an age where it’s important for them to start owning their faith so we give them the opportunity to lead worship for the younger students, plan their own fellowship events, and dig into God’s Word during Sunday School and various events throughout the year.

Lock-in

August 8, 4:30PM – August 9, 7:00AM

This annual event for 4th-6th graders is an exciting night that includes pizza, trampolines, rock walls, and a playground.  After, we will head back to the church for a devotional time and more fun and games!

We pray this time together will give kids a chance to get to know one another and build lifelong friendships with other Christians.

Vacation Bible School

Magnified! VBS will encourage kids to look closely at the details of God’s amazing world and magnify, or proclaim, the greatness of God.

Saturday, May 10th

9:30am-10:30am on the playground

This annual event for 4th-6th graders is an exciting night that includes dinner, bowling, laser tag, arcade games, worship, and a devotional time.

We pray this time together will give kids a chance to get to know one another and build lifelong friendships with other Christians.

Registration will open in July 2025.

Fellowship with other kids is a HUGE part of what makes camp important! Making friends in the tween years is a key component to staying connected as students move into youth group.
Teaching solid Biblical principals is absolutely fundamental in Christian growth. Teaching at an age-appropriate level in a way kids can relate to is what makes the biggest impact in life-long retention of those principals.

Worship is just one way to express our love and joy to the Lord. Teaching kids the importance of worship and making it fun is a major element at camp.

Fun ties all the fellowship, worship and teaching together. The games and activities provided by the camp wrap everything we learn into a nice little package of growth and connection.
